Early Learning - Why is art so important at a young age?

 

Studies show, art is just as important, since it introduces fine motor skills, colors, and textures which stimulates the minds creativity and decision making. Alowing a child to develop self-confidence. Art is also an inspiration for those who cannot express themselve through language but are able demontrate it through the arts.  It is very therapeutic, relaxing for the mind and rewarding for the person.

 

Throughout the years, there have been many budget cuts in our elementary schools and art has become very limited in what materials are used.   Many schools use pencil crayons, wax crayons, oil pastels, markers, glue sticks, and color paper.  This is one reason why it has become my goal as an Artist to reach out to those children and parents who feel the need to introduce the arts to their child(ren) at a young age. We introduce all types of technics with quality materials for the children to use when creating.  At La-Di-D'Art, we believe that it is important to have a little FUN by adding more art materials to the basics!!!!
